They should use the soccer stadium. That's what it is there for. To play soccer.

LOL - they aren’t gonna wanna use that goal if it blocks FUBeAR’s view of Furman Football from the Wicked Weed End Zone. Guaranteed he can get a sharp set of shears past the Paladin Stadium security measures or just borrow some from one of the Trainer’s kits.

FUBeAR is quite confident that the avg 200-300 people in attendance at FU’s Home Soccer games this past season wholeheartedly concur with ‘Dr. Davis statement.’

Wicked Weed also has a contract with the Triumph... Wicked Weed will have a viewing platform capable of watching football, soccer, and basketball, all at one time, before 2024. Using Facebook Meta Teslaverse, we will be able to simultaneously view multiple sports on the same playing field. ED specifically chose this because she does not like baseball.

Roundball - if you are on Twitter & don’t already, you should follow this profile…

FUBeAR would also recommend this one https://twitter.com/mrgo30?s=21&t=xAqu ... cP8_xEnNvg

Here’s a sample of the latter one. Note - the primary presenter in the video is not actually Coach Dabo, nor is he God.

MLS is the top pro soccer league in the country. They average about 21,000 per game. The top attendance in the league is actually for the team in Atlanta - 48,000. Second best is 35,000, which is Charlotte. Seattle is third at about 34,000. Curious that Atlanta and Charlotte are outdrawing bigger cities like New York, L.A., and Chicago
The Greenville Triumph, who will using Paladin Stadium, play in the USL One league and averaged about 2,800 last year. They have been fairly successful. They have played in the Finals 3 of the 4 years they have been around and won the championship in 2020.

If this deal adds a bit of money to Furman athletic funds it seems a good idea unless there is a serious season overlap that would cause problems.

FUBeAR thinks it’s great. We should, as much as we can, treat it as an opportunity to expose fans to the Furman Game Day environment. We should offer deals to FU Football & Hoops games to peeps that show a ticket for the prior Soccer game.

If we can get 3,000 ‘new’ people on campus for a Pro Soccer Match, we should be ashamed of ourselves if we don’t convert 60% of them into Furman Fans and get them to bring their families back to our Football & Basketball (and Soccer) games.

So not only do you KNOW that ED unilaterally got rid of baseball, now you can read her mind. Got it. SMH

Why do you keep making up these lies? Ask Coach Hendrix and Coach Richey how they feel about the support from President Davis. As for the basketball games, she and her husband are at almost every game. If you know what she looks like, you will see her.

Exactly. She and her husband sit almost directly across from me at every game. I didn't see them at the VMI game on 12/29 but university Presidents do have busy schedules/lives.
AP...if you have such a beef with ED why don't you schedule an appointment to speak with her instead of airing your grievances like a thinly veiled mysogonist-anonymous-armchair-internet troll. You're little late for Festivus.
