Shooter with size? Sign me up. Possible RS candidate. Need to fill up the other spots with a couple guards I think.
with the portal not sure RS is wise anymore unless the player is developing or better players ahead of him

SD says.... put the best 5 on the court regardless of class
This is where the good coaches at the mid major level will separate themselves from the rest, developing the true freshman. The best chance to win will be playing the best 5 players when you have them. I’m not sure many RS transfers will happen will no playing time to show other teams. So I think a coach has to see how much development he can get out of one RS year. It looks like any mid major upperclassman with talent should be expected to transfer, or at least be tempted to transfer. Mid majors will pull upperclassman from D2, play true freshmen, and hope one year of development for the RS will be enough. It will be interesting to see if coaches can shift development from 3-4 yrs into 1-2 years.

I can think of two real losers in this new world: March Madness Cinderellas and D2 schools. Most of the good March Madness upsets come from mid majors with older players. Those poor D2 schools, they’re left with nothing.

Mid-majors will certainly get more thsn just d2 transfers. Look at just the SoCon many from other mid-majors as well as high majors. Citadel last year had 3 transfers from high majors for an example. Whitt came from Wake Forest. I think it is obvious CBR leans toward good d2 players but orhers don’t.

I bet CBR has never thought about putting the best 5 on the court.

just becuase at the end of past season, CBR said that one of the forsh would have played 20 mins if available. but didnt due to RS. It was late in te year so understandable

Im really scared abou the lack of ball handling we have. We have only three guards. Surley we go after a ball handler with the last two scholarships we have.....

Smith is a great pick up. Good shooting and great size. Moves well in his body. A few years in the weight room will only unlock his potential

I haven’t seen anything on Alex Williams. I wonder if he comes back or if that ship has sailed and he makes a lateral move to get a fresh start?
