Don’t need a GoFundMe. If you have $ for the Furman basketball NIL, let them know. They will gladly accept your money.

In all due respect, that is a terrible idea. We are not going to compete with huge state schools or those in big metro areas with corporate sponsorship for players. No small private school can do that. We need to find a way to provide a competitive BB team for our students and fans to support on a realistic level. The day of Cinderella teams is over unless you are an Ivy. Forget the big arenas with fancy boxes. Forget the high priced coaches. The whole college sports business is out of control. Let the institutions who are willing to serve as satellites to the professional leagues do their thing. Just provide a venue for students to participate in sports and forget all that Big Dance BS. Go back to what the Ivies started years ago and let No Show Universities do whatever it is they are doing. I wouldn’t give a dime to keep some 20 year old from screwing up his life.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
