Let's be thankful for the time Foster and Whitt gave us - they were both critical pieces in the elevation of our program and run to the NCAA last year. Wish them further success wherever they land.

Very disappointed in both Foster and Whitt leaving. Foster could have had a much better year if he had not been injured. Whitt peaked at mid-season and then it was all downhill until his final game when he scored 20. I was really hoping that he would use that game to be great for the Paladins next year.

After CBR, the person I would most hate to lose is Pegues! He is a stud!

Foster cane back from injury but I don’t believe he played hurt after that. Led us in scoring a few times and was the leading rebounder every game. Losing him will hurt, not only his 3 point shooting but he was good around the basket and was our leading rebounder. He will be hard to replace. Someone said he had graduated but I don’t think that is the case. If he had he would have been honored the last game. Hope the bleeding stops soon, very unfurmanlike.

That is incorrect, he entered the portal as a graduate transfer.

Ok can you give a source? Can’t find anything that says grad. Kinda strange there was no senior night.

Marcus graduated in May of 2023 and started a Master’s program here with the intent of playing 2 more seasons. He would have gone through Senior Night at the end of next season.

Next year would have been Foster's 6th year on campus. That is a long time, especially if you aren't going to law school or med. school. My senior year (4th) I was beginning to detach from campus life and was looking ahead more than behind. Can't fault anyone looking for something new. Good luck to the transfers.

Agreed, it feels like Foster has been at Furman forever. I imagine he’s looking forward to a new challenge.

I didn’t expect Foster back and I am not at all surprised at Whitt. He was handled poorly for much of the season so I don’t blame him for testing the waters. I honestly hope several more do not return. Gives us a chance to rebuild on the fly from the portal. Just like every other successful team in college hopes. Start with that kid with long hair from Mercer.
