JP had official visits to Carolina over the weekend and Auburn yesterday. I would be surprised if he returns.

AW bridge is burned. And yes expect JP to be playing in the $EC next season.
Yes. AW needs to move on.
Care to elaborate?

Two suspensions in two years. Ya gotta wonder.

A talented player who was not a good fit for Furman's program. I hope another school is willing to take a chance on him.

Maybe we can cash in some of that TV media pseudo crypto money we were bragging about from last years tourney and convince him to stay???

good idea but SD thinks that "we" cant be the school. It has to be an outside org willing to pay for his services

I seriously doubt NIL had much to do with his decision. Exposure, yes; NIL, no. With all the roster turmoil JP had to think his best shot at another March Madness glory would come from elsewhere. Especially as he has the numbers to contribute to a contending power-program.

I think his future opportunities will be in Europe. I don't think those opportunities will be enhanced by the transfer to a big school with unknown playing time etc. One year paycheck vs multiple paychecks in Europe ? Compare what happened with Gurley to what happened to Slawson. Maybe worth it maybe not.

You can work for a big name company but if it isnt a culture, values match then you will be meiserable and not do your best.

Hope this is a consideration for the young man. Any culture is great during a 1-2 day visit but hope he gets the real scoop somehow

I think you’re kidding yourself if you think NIL is not a huge factor if not the main one. If he had not experienced the NCAA tourney and been the hero then maybe. Regardless of where he ends up chances of topping “the shot” are non-existent. The NIL he was getting will be multiplied many times. He is not an NBA player so you can’t blame him for taking the opportunity to cash in.

Xavier coach mentioned as possibility for the Kentucky job, wonder how that would affect Foster.

Talk about a roster collapse - In the past 24 hours Indiana State has had 9 players jump into the portal. The trigger was St. Louis hiring their coach. Some sources think many of those players may follow their coach to St. Louis. A few days ago they were playing Seton Hall in the NIT championship game. Quite a roller coaster ride of emotions for Sycamore fans in just a week.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
