The reason they were getting so many open shots is because we were sluffing off everybody when Woolbright had the ball. He didn't score much the last part of the game as a result but he dished off brilliantly and they made their shots.
In the first half we let him get to the rim and he burned us multiple times. Pick your poison.

Agree about the Refs too. Foster got hammered twice and they swallowed their whistles and then we touch them on a couple shots and get called for a foul. I don't understand. Are the Refs that intimidated by home crowds? This goes on all over the country. The home team nearly always has a 7 on 5 advantage and I'm sick off it. Just forget about this game and go beat Mercer and get ready for the tournament. I'm looking forward to a neutral court. I don't care who we play.

We played so poorly tonight hard to feel good about our chances in Asheville....we have one of the best players ever here at Furman but he doesn't get support..could we wind up 7th??
No way to finish sixth or seventh. Beat Mercer and we are likely four seed. Lose and we are likely fifth.

No 4 or 5 is the only possible. WC or WCU, pick your poison. WC hit 16 3’s tonight against Sammy.

We will play WCU unless Wofford wins against VMI and WCU loses against Chattanooga. So we will get the late 8:30 game. It is what it is. Advance and play another day.

I don't think we played all that bad Jesse. Western played lights out the last 10 minutes of the game. Add on the no calls against Foster and there you have it.
there were not that many TOs but a couple happened in key points of the game. It looked like there was grease on the ball

Agree. PJ, Foster and Whitt didn’t play well, but you have to give credit to WCU’s D. They have length that we don’t have and resulted in a lot of blocked shots early.

I'd rather see Furman play Woffy than Western first round... then get a hack at (probably) Samford in the semi.
Like I said pick your poison. Both shoot the 3 well and FU does not defend the 3 well. Just hope who we play has a bad shooting night.

IMO, WCU is the tougher draw with the best player in the SOCON. He had a triple double against us. If he’s not scoring, he’s dishing the ball for others to score. Wofford can shoot the 3 but I think we better stack up against them.

Good comment...don't want to play Western again...they have too many good players that can score and defend...we have 1 player that can score...just don't see any way..I sure hope I am wrong ..maybe we'll catch lightening ina a bottle

AP do you just come on here and make comments for the sake of making them?

Furman LEADS the league in opponent 3 pt FG% in conference play at 33%.

Good chance Western will beat Chattanooga if they play the way they played tonight

They had a trio of guys who average around 14 points and they scored 28 tonight. Aside from Russell Jones Jr and Woolbright, they don’t have that much juice. They had a good night and played inspired on senior night. Furman team has just as much talent as the rest of the league and I have a feeling once they step foot on the court in Asheville, they’ll turn it up.
