Am proud to be a Paladin- took the number 2 team in their house to the mat. The Griz don’t want to play you again.
Outright conference championship and one of two private schools in the final 8 this year.
Came up a couple plays short in a game that had two outstanding defenses.
Thanks for a great season- will be remembered for a long time!

Paladins D was so good. I hope these two teams can play again next season, it’s good for FCS when two programs like these play on national television.
That D - probably will be the best one the Griz see all season.

FU fans have a lot to be proud of after one of the great college playoff games I have ever seen. Forget the idiotic comments from the usual group of board cretins. They simply don't get it. Our offense, which has been problematic all season, was good enough to put up 28 points against one of the best D's in the nation. The Griz D had a great game plan and implemented it exceptionally well. Kudos to the Griz and their staff. And yet, we scored enough points to win the game except for a few special teams' lapses. It happens. Our defensive effort was magnificent and memorable. We shut down one of the highest scoring offenses in the nation and stopped the freshman best-in-the-nation RB dead in his tracks. Tremendous credit to the players and Coach Vaughn and his staff for that performance. (Standing O) We played without Dominick Roberto, one the best RB's in the nation and with a gutsy QB who was still hurting. And yet, we came within a hair of the upset as 18 point underdogs. Congratulations to our players and staff for a magnificent and courageous effort that will not soon be forgotten.

Great post. FUBeAR can’t say it any better.

The only thing FUBeAR would amend is that he agrees there were “lapses” on “a few special teams” plays, specifically the 2 TD returns, but he’s not sure that it was the Furman Players or Coaches who ‘lapsed’ on those 2 plays.

Neither am I. Shit happens though. I want to compliment you on your years long claim of bias toward the MVC and Big Sky conferences. They are clearly no better than the SoCon or CAA. FU and Montana were even with the Dins getting 18. SD State, no. 1in the country is tooth and nail with Villanova in the 4 th quarter but will likely win. They are 5 or 6 TD favorites. No way they deserve that. The online bookies even bought the hype. As an investor, I would also like to thank everyone involved in that and am lookin forward to the Albany -Idaho game later tonight. FU BEAR BE 100% CORRECT. We are at parity with them and that should be reflected in rankings and invites. GO DINS
