Didn't expect a strong challenge from VMI, but that was even better than I thought would happen. I think the defense is getting stronger as the season advances. Grear news for the playoffs if it continues on the same path. The 1985 and 1988 teams did the same.

Our defense is just solid. And Carson’s passes were so beautiful!!!
Defense is solid and the offense doesn’t put them in bad situations. We are +14 in turnovers and haven’t lost a fumble since Tenn Tech in game 1.

Totally shocked that channel 4 led ofF the 11PM sports with Furman instead of Clempson. Once in a lifetime occurrence.

Hard to remember a better first half on both offense and defense. The second half was uneventful to say the least.
Perfection. Love it. Sexy too :D

I assumed we'd hold their offense down, but I didn't really forsee us throwing all over them.

We'll see some mistakes, but we will also see more Big Plays from the Offense.

CJ had his feet under him by the 4th Quarter and he will only be better this week.

What he said.

Both of CJ’s long TD passes, when they left his hand I was like, oh that ball is way overthrown.

FU held VMI to 8 yds total offense in the first half before calling off the dogs! Incredible.

Watched this one a few times, and I can't tell what VMI is doing.

#17 is on the line (I think he's listed as a safety). Off the snap, he flys backwards like he's got Kendall Dean in man coverage.

My only guess is that 17 had one of the deep quarters of the field, and realized very quickly Furman was taking a shot here. Doesn't really explain why Dean outran the other two DBs back there, but it's sort of wild to see three VMI defenders behind Dean.

Any word on when they're going to close down Main Street in Lexington for the parade to celebrate VMI's field goal with two minutes left against Furman's C-team?

If I was a VMI fan, I'd be more embarrassed by those final 2 minutes (the field goal, calling timeout with 25 seconds left to make Furman punt and then obliterating the punter) than anything that happened in the first 58.
