Cash payments, practice pads, team fees or dues. Incentives to get them to switch Community Centers or Youth organizations. "Scholarships so to speak." Not to mention the gambling that went on.

Yeah - we hardshipped some kids … not as an inducement to come…just cuz we knew their families couldn’t pay OR some whose families just wouldn’t pay…and we didn’t want to be in the Collections biz.

No cash payments though…that FUBeAR knew of …and didn’t know about any gambling either. No one would bet against the Team we had and don’t think Vegas was publishing any spreads …

but OK … so Cash Payments exist in RecBall.

Is it wrong that FUBeAR kinda feels better when all of these things were ‘under the table?’

New NIL rule changes. https://razorbackswire.usatoday.com/202 ... agreement/ “Any undergraduate player – graduate students are not subject to the rule change – who transfers for a second-or-further time has to meet certain guidelines in order to not sit out a year between transfers. Specifically, a player can’t leave a school for a second time (or further) because of a lack of fit, culture or playing time.”

Really a Transfer Portal rule. Only connection to NIL is that the rule (theoretically) disallows transferring a 2nd time because School #3 is offering a better “NIL” Compensation Package than School #2.

BUT…as we know … with the Justin Fields-ish “exigent circumstances” and mental health loopholes always available, FUBeAR just doesn’t see the now-invertebrate NCAA saying “No” to any young person claiming either or both of these situations compels them to portal out forthwith…even if the change just happens to also add another 0 to the left of the decimal in theIr “NIL” Comp Plan.
